Private Agent Lite: Privacy Policy

In short: the helper runs on your phone. What you say, type, the papers you add and what is on your screen are never uploaded to us or anyone else. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking. We (the developer) do not run any server that receives your data. The only way anything reaches us is a report or email you choose to send from your own email app.

What stays on your phone

• What you say or type to the helper, and its answers.
• The papers you add (medication lists, letters, documents). They are read and indexed inside the app and never leave the phone.
• What the screen helper reads while a task you approved is running.
• Your shortcuts, reminders, memory notes and the history of what the helper did.
• Contacts, calendar, photos, music, files and notifications. Each is read only after you allow it, and contacts are read only after you say yes each time.

All of this is processed on the device by an on-device AI model (Google's Gemma, and Gemini Nano on phones that have it). None of it is sent to the developer or sold or shared with anyone.

When the app uses the internet

• Brain download. When you tap Download, the app downloads its AI model file (Gemma, about 2.6 GB) once from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). Hugging Face sees an ordinary file download from your phone (for example your IP address), as any website does. Nothing about you is sent with it.
• Gemini Nano (some phones). If your phone supports Gemini Nano, Android's own AICore service may download and update it. Google handles that download.
• Google ML Kit diagnostics. The app uses Google's ML Kit to talk to Gemini Nano on the phone. Your words and results stay on the phone, but ML Kit sends Google technical usage data, such as device model, Android version, app version, an installation identifier, performance timings and error codes, to measure and improve its APIs. • Voice typing. Voice input uses your phone's speech service. The app asks it to work offline when it can; some phones may still use Google's online speech service.
• Tasks you ask for. When you ask the helper to open a website, search Google or use another app, that app or website works as it normally does under its own privacy policy.

Reporting a reply (version 1.0.4 and later)

Every AI answer in the app has a Report button, and Setup has Report a problem, so you can flag an answer that is offensive, harmful, wrong or unsafe without leaving the app. When you tap Send report, the app opens your own email app with a message to fbecleve.management@gmail.com already filled in: the reason you picked, your optional note, the app version and the text of the reply you are reporting. You see the whole message and nothing is sent until you press Send in your email app. The Private Agent Lite app itself sends nothing over the internet for a report and needs no extra permission. Each report is also listed in the app's history on your phone. If your phone has no email app, the report is copied so you can paste it into an email yourself.

If you send a report, we receive that email and your email address, as with any email. We use reports only to investigate them and to fix and improve the app, we don't sell or share them, and we delete a report if you ask. Please remove anything private from the reply before you send it.

The screen helper (Accessibility service)

Private Agent Lite is an accessibility tool. It helps people with motor, vision or cognitive disabilities, and older adults, do everyday phone tasks by voice or with one-tap shortcuts. It reads the text and buttons on the screen, and taps, types and scrolls, only while a task you approved is running and only in apps you allowed. It never sends, deletes or buys anything, or reads your contacts, without asking you first. Nothing it reads is uploaded. You can stop it at any time (Stop button, the notification, or pressing Volume Down twice) and turn it off in Android's Accessibility settings.

Children

The app is meant for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

• Turn any permission off in the app's Setup or in Android's settings.
• Remove any paper, clear Talk, erase memory notes or clear the history from inside the app.
• Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on the phone.
• The developer receives none of your data unless you email us or send a report. To have a report or email deleted, write to fbecleve.management@gmail.com. For ML Kit data held by Google, see Google's privacy tools.

Security

Your data stays in the app's private storage on your phone. Downloads use encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date, and the in-app privacy note will be updated.
